Waiver and Release of Liability

Beer Run Run Club

By attending, participating in, or being present at any BEER RUN Run Club event, activity, or gathering (the “Event”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Waiver and Release of Liability, and you voluntarily assume all risks and release liability as set out below.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in running, physical activity, group fitness events, and social gatherings involving alcohol involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Personal injury, illness, or death
Slips, falls, collisions, or accidents involving vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, or other participants
Risks related to weather, road conditions, traffic, terrain, and outdoor environments
Risks associated with the voluntary consumption of alcohol

By attending the Event, I freely and voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.

2. Health & Personal Responsibility

By attending the Event, I confirm that:

I am physically and mentally capable of participating safely
I am solely responsible for determining my fitness to participate
I will conduct myself in a safe and responsible manner

BEER RUN Run Club does not provide medical advice, screening, treatment, or supervision.

3. Alcohol Acknowledgment

Alcohol consumption is optional and not required to participate.

If I choose to consume alcohol:

I do so voluntarily and responsibly
I confirm that I am of legal drinking age in the applicable province or territory
I accept full responsibility for my actions and decisions

BEER RUN Run Club does not serve alcohol and is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or consequence arising from alcohol consumption.

4. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Canada, by attending the Event I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge BEER RUN Run Club, its organizers, volunteers, sponsors, partners, affiliates, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, or causes of action, including those arising from negligence, that relate to or result from:

My attendance or participation in the Event
Any physical activity or route used during the Event
Any injury, illness, death, or property damage suffered

5. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless BEER RUN Run Club from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of my participation or conduct at the Event.

6. Media Release

By attending the Event, I grant BEER RUN Run Club the right to photograph, record, or otherwise capture my likeness and to use such media for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes without compensation.

7. Governing Law

This Waiver and Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province or Territory in which the Event takes place and the applicable laws of Canada.

8. Binding Agreement & Notice

This Waiver and Release is intended to be binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns. If any portion of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portions shall continue in full force and effect.

Attendance at the Event constitutes acceptance of this Waiver and Release of Liability.
